Children of age 15-18 years can get dose of corona virus vaccine from January 3rd, 2022.
Dr. RS Sharma, CoWIN platform chief on Monday said that children will be able to register and book slots from January 1 here.
Children can use their Student IDs to register themselves on the portal.
Dr. Sharma told that we have added an additional ID card- Class 10th ID Card because some children might not have other identity cards.

Covaxin, Covid-19 vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech has received approval for administration in children. It is a two shots vaccine.
ZyCov-D which is developed by Zydus Cadila is approved by experts as well. It is a three shots vaccine.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also announced booster shots for frontline and healthcare workers and people who are above age 60.
PM said that providing vaccination to children will help them to get back to school.
Dr NK Arora, chief of immunization task force said that Covaxin has shown good response in trials on children. The formula of vaccine is same as adults.
