Netflix series ‘Queer Eye’ actor Jonathan Van Ness has become the first solo, non-female to appear on the Cosmopolitan UK cover in 35 years. In the cover photo for the January 2020 issue of Cosmopolitan UK, he can be seen wearing an orange and pink tulle gown by fashion designer Christian Siriano.

The last non-female-identifying individual to appear as a solo cover star in Cosmopolitan UK was singer Boy George, who landed the coveted spot in 1984, followed by One Direction in 2012.
