As India’s first indigenous train ‘Vande Bharat’ Express completes its 1st year in operation it’s financial stats are out. Covering over 3.8 lakh km the train did a cumulative earning of Rs 92.29 crore.
The express also had a 100 percent occupancy during the period. Northern Railway put the stats in public domain. The train was flagged off by PM Modi on February 15th last year. It started its commercial run from New Delhi to Varanasi two days later on 17th February.
The train which has 16 air-conditioned coaches covers the distance between New Delhi and Varanasi in 8 hours. Â Vande Bharat express has all the latest features in it. The train has coaches made of stainless steel. They are equipped with automatic doors with sliding footsteps. The train has onboard computers for control and remote monitoring.

Apart from that, the train has a GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system. On-board hotspot Wi-Fi and comfortable seating arrangements make traveling smooth for passengers. As of now, it runs on all days of the week, except Monday and Thursday.
