Judwaa 2 star Varun Dhawan is all set to play the role of 1971 War Hero Arun Khetarpal in his next flick. Arun Khetarpal is the youngest recipient of India’s highest military decoration for valor in face of the enemy Param Vir Chakra (PVC).

Arun was the second lieutenant of the Indian Army and participated in the Battle of Basantar which was a decisive battle of the 1971 Indo-Pak war fought on the ern sector. He was awarded PVC posthumously at the age of 21.

Varun would pair with his movie Badlapur’s director Sriram Raghavan for the biopic. Varun termed the movie as one of the most importnat film of his career. He said that when he first hear Arun’s story, he was in awe that it actually happened.
