Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan’s latest action-thriller Vikram proves to be a major success. The movie is not seen to slow down and continuously garner income despite being at the end of its second week after release. After being shown for the first time on the Silver screen on June 3, this film has become the first choice in South India.
Vikram Collects ₹315 Cr In Just 10 Days
In just 10 days after its release, action movie Vikram has raked ₹315 Cr worldwide. Even though it was not able to create a major impact on the Hindi belt, it has been proved to be very profitable for the producers. And still, it is not the end of generating profit as the movie is going to enter its third week on silver screens. In southern states, Vikram is welcomed open-heartedly by the audience and the makers got an excellent response. So far in Kamal Haasan’s six-decade career, Vikram proved to be the biggest hit.
Kamal Haasan’ Record Breaker
Vikram has surpassed many recent releases in terms of audience response and had broken several box office records in Tamil Industry. In the state of Tamil Nadu, it crossed the ₹120 Cr mark in 10 days and is expected to reach ₹150 Cr in the next few days. In Kerala, Vikram is written in the list of top-grossing Tamil movies and has surpassed the serious blockbusters, “Vijay’s Mersal and Rajinikanth’s 2.0” by collecting in over ₹32 Cr till now.
Vikram also marked Karnatak Box Office with its success, as per Prime Media, the movie’s North America distributor, collection figures have reached $2.6 million so far. And it is expected to hit $3 million shortly while being shown on 60 screens.
