Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have finally begun revealing more about their dear daughter starting right from her name. Anushka Sharma recently took on Twitter to share the name of her daughter and believe us, it’s so thoughtful.

Anushka and Virat have named her baby girl ‘Vamika’. 

As soon as the name was revealed, fans wanted to know the meaning of the same. Though Anushka didn’t give out the details, but in a Google search, we found that the name Vamika refers to Goddess Durga’s form.

Vamika is the female half of the Ardhanarishvara — a composite form of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. As Ardhanarishvara, Shiva forms the right side of the body and Parvati forms the left side. Together, they symbolise a world in perfect harmony with its masculine and feminine energies.
