India’s hot-blooded skipper and ace cricketer Virat Kohli took it past Bollywood star Salman Khan to top the Forbes India’s Celebrity for highest earnings in a calendar year. This is the first time that a sportsperson has topped the list.
Bollywood’s Bhaijan Salman Khan who slipped to the 3rd spot was topping the list from the past three years. Virat with Rs 252.72 crore in annual earnings de-throned Salman from the top spot. Actor Akshay Kumar took the 2nd spot on the list. Actress Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone also found their names in the top 10 of the list.

The top 100 list also saw an increase in the number of women. This year 30 women made to the list, up from 17 in 2018.
