The government’s provident fund plan is one of India’s most important social security programmes for workers in various sectors. Employee PF in India is managed by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
With a provident fund account, a working professional’s financial life is complete. Employees’ Provident Funds (EPF) are a type of savings plan that can be utilised now or in the future, depending on your requirements. Last month, the EPFO announced the interest rate on EPF deposits for 2022-2023. The retirement fund authorities established an interest rate of 8.15 percent for EPF deposits.
Here are four methods for checking your PF balance without using the Internet:
- SMS: UAN-activated users can learn about their most recent PF contribution and the available balance with EPFO by sending an SMS from a registered mobile phone to 7738299899.
- Missed call: If a member has registered on the UAN website, a missed call from their registered cellphone number to 9966044425 will allow them to view their EPFO account details.
- EPFO portal: Log in to the EPFO site at epfindia.gov.in with your UAN number and password from the Member e-Sewa site to validate your statement.
- UMANG App: You can use the EPFO app on the Umang platform to check your balance.
