Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said PM Narendra Modi is a result-oriented dynamic decision-maker.
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “result-oriented, energetic” leader when contrasting his working style with his predecessor Manmohan Singh. He remarked this at the Agenda Aaj Tak event, adding that a comparison between the two could not be established.
Manmohan Singh and Narendra Modi as prime minister, Scindia stated, “I feel that it is impossible to create a comparison between the two. Zameen aasman ka antar hai [ there is a world of difference ] between the two leaders [PM Modi is] result-oriented, dynamic decision-making.”
He stated, “My experience of the previous four months suggests that there is a result-oriented productivity-driven system in place [under this administration] which is a fantastic chance for individuals like me who have a banking sector history before going to politics.”

Scindia is one of the high-profile ministers in the Narendra Modi cabinet who had a background in a non-Bharatiya Janata Party. He previously worked as a Union minister under former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2020 and became Union minister in the Modi cabinet in July this year.
On the grounds for his withdrawal from the Congress, Scindia remarked, “The Congress is a party where neither entrance nor exit interviews are held.” Scindia’s departure from Congress contributed to the collapse of the administration of the party in Madhya Pradesh last year.
More than 25 MLAs of Congress had resigned from the party to follow Scindia in joining the BJP.
In the by-polls, Scindia achieved a win of a majority of the defecting politicians, some of whom were brought into the BJP’s government in Madhya Pradesh. The bypolls also catapulted Scindia to the national cabinet as the civil aviation minister.
