WhatsApp has finally added the option to mute a chat forever. The feature, in the testing phase for quite some time now, was finally introduced for Android and iOS devices as well as the web version.
So, if you do not wish to receive notifications of a WhatsApp chat or a group, you can choose to mute it simply by following these steps.
- Open the group chat that you have been dying to mute forever and tap on the group subject.
- Or you can just long-press the group and above you will see a loudspeaker-like sign.
- Once you click on the mute button you will find three options – 8 Hours, 1 Week and Always.
- Choose from the three and boom, the chat is muted.
