WhatsApp seems to have a list of updates planned and is taking no time in rolling them out for the users. After recently launching a tool to better manage phone storage and disappearing messages feature for some beta users, WhatsApp is now working on, what report suggests, a new feature called Vacation Mode.
The feature, as we have gathered, would let a user keep archived chat in the archive even when a new message arrives.

As of now, if you archive a chat, it would automatically unarchive whenever a new message pops up. The new feature would bar this from happening.
The new update details were released after WhatsApp introduced its latest Beta version for Android v2.20.206.2 and WhatsApp-watchers, WABetaInfo, dig into its updated code to scoop out the information about the new features
In the earlier WhatsApp Beta updates, WhatsApp has tried to prevent muted archived chats from being automatically unarchived when new messages arrived. But the new feature surely goes one step further.

Also, WhatsApp is working to introduce the Archived Chats feature with a new banner that reads, “Move chats you want to keep muted here’ adding, ‘Chats with new messages won’t return to main chat list.’
That sums up the whole thing!!
