Meta has been adding AI upgrades to its products, like Facebook and Instagram. The latest one to join the AI club is WhatsApp, their popular messaging service.
Integration of WhatsApp and AI Assistant
Earlier this year at Meta Connect 2023, the big tech company announced an upcoming AI chatbot for WhatsApp. Now, in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android, there’s a new shortcut button. It lets users quickly access the AI-powered chatbot without going through the conversation list.
In the newest WhatsApp update, there’s a new button for the AI chatbot in the ‘Chats’ section, right above ‘New Chat.’ But for now, it seems like only a few people can use it, and there’s no word on when everyone will get it.
What WhatsApp’s AI is Capable of?
In September, Meta introduced a new AI chatbot similar to ChatGPT. This handy assistant can handle various tasks, from answering questions to planning trips. Meta also shared news of a partnership with Microsoft’s Bing Chat, enabling the chatbot to provide real-time web results.
Just like MidJourney and Bing Image Creator, the new AI assistant lets you whip up realistic images for free. Just type ‘/imagine’ and let the creativity flow!
Meta AI uses a special model that blends Llama 2 with their latest language research. It’s designed to give quick recommendations, share a laugh when you need a joke, settle group chat debates, and be there for any questions or to teach you something new.
