Whatsapp Update: Soon Users Will See Status Directly From Chat List

Recently, Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced three new privacy features on WhatsApp, giving users more control over their conversations and adding layers of protection when messaging.

Status is a story-like feature where users can post photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours.

After introducing a number of new features this year, iOS users will soon be able to watch Status right from WhatsApp’s conversation list, according to reports. WhatsApp is owned by Meta.

The beta version 22.18.0.70, according to WABetaInfo, introduces the capability to read Status updates inside the chat list. It is still not accessible to everyone even though it has been made available to certain beta testers.

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Meta, recently unveiled three new privacy features for WhatsApp that give users greater control over their chats and more security while communicating.

One of the features, screenshot blocking, was being worked on in the WhatsApp beta for iOS but has not yet been discovered in the WhatsApp beta for Android.

The screenshot will be instantly prohibited if the receiver attempts to capture one to see photographs or videos, but the sender won’t be alerted.

A user may still snap pictures by using a different phone or camera, however.
