Meta owned direct texting app WhatsApp is planning to provide a new feature to its users. The new feature will allow users to migrate their chat history from Android phones to an iPhone.
Currently users can transfer their chat from iPhone to Samsung and Google smartphones. The feature came in October last year. The company has given its thought to expand this feature for all Android phone users.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on an “import chat history” feature that will let Android users move their chats to an iPhone device.
The feature was spotted in development in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS v22.2.74. The report also has a screenshot which shows that the app asks users for their permission to import chat history.
