New features are frequently added to WhatsApp’s iOS and Android applications. But over time, it also stopped providing support for a lot of these gadgets. WhatsApp has confirmed that it will stop supporting phones and tablets running Android OS versions lower than 5.0.
WhatsApp No Longer Support From This Date
According to the company, WhatsApp will no longer work on one of the oldest and least used phones. On some older Android and iPhone devices, the instant messaging software will stop working as of October 24, 2023.
The platform claims that it wants to prioritize leveraging the most recent security features and technical breakthroughs while also concentrating on developing new features for users of operating system versions that are more modern. In order to focus on the new, it is ending support for some of the older smartphone devices running Android OS versions 4.1 and below.
