Tourists here can have a boating experience in the river which is around 15-20 meters deep. Due to the crystal clear water, everything inside of the famous Dawki lake is visible. Boating can be done with four people in a boat along with one fisherman. The cost of a boating trip for a single person here is Rs. 500. The duration of the trip varies from half an hour to one hour. Other activities available here are cliff jumping and zip-lining.
What About The Location?
Dawki is a small town located in the East Jaintia Hills, Umngot river flows through here. It is near the India-Bangladesh border. Guwahati is the nearest airport at 175 km. One can reach here by taking a car or bus from Guwahati or Shillong. It is worth noting that all the activities like boating are restricted in the monsoons. So, the ideal time to visit this place is between January to May.
