A couple of years after the commercially failed launch of Wikitribune as an online publication meant to combat fake news Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales is all set for its relaunch.

Wales is relaunching Wikitribune as a social networking site and news sharing platform WT: Social. WT: Social would come as an alternative to Facebook (FB) and Twitter said Wales. However, there would be a difference in WT: Social as compared to FB and Twitter.

Unlike FB and Twitter that are funded by advertising WT: Social would be funded by donations.
