Cancellation or postponing of events has become a new normal amidst coronavirus pandemic woes. And while cancelling of postponing of tournaments like IPL, Tokyo Olympics, etc. maybe giving you that heartbreak, but some event organisers are not at all said about cancelling of some events like Wimbledon.
While the cancellation of these events often leads to huge losses, but Wimbledon has got itself covered.
Wimbledon this year has been called off due to one sole reason that is coronavirus. And while the news has left tennis veterans including Roger Federer “devastated”, the organisers are nor worried much.

Happens to be, the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) has been paying a whopping $2 Million every year as pandemic insurance for the last 17 years. And now, when the tournament has been cancelled, they become liable to get pandemic insurance.
Wimbledon will be receding $141 million as pandemic insurance, according to this tweet by Darren Rovell, who is a sports business reporter for Action Network.
So $144 for paying $34 in total for 17 years? Not a bad deal I tell you.
