The materialistic desires in us can sometimes become so intense that a mother can kill her own child. Presenting a horrifying example to that is a lady from Uttar Pradesh. A 25-year-old woman Pinky Sharma beaten her six-month-old daughter to death on refused of buying new clothes.
The incident has come to light from Aligarh’s Rampur village. Pinky’s husband refused to buy her and the children new clothes for Holi. This irked Pinky and she allegedly turned her anger on to her infant daughter. As per police Pinky Sharma and her husband Rahul had an argument when the latter refused to go to the market to buy new clothes.

Angered Pinky thrashed her infant daughter Soni causing his death. In her confession, Pinky said that she was frustrated with domestic issues and constant arguments with her husband and took out her frustration on her daughter, without realizing that the baby would die. Apart from the daughter, the couple has a 3 years old son. A complaint lodged by Rahul, police registered a case against Pinky under section 302 (murder) of IPC and arrested her.
