All of you who are die-hard fans of Marvel movies (because why not?) must have applauded every time Wonder Woman pulled her sword and shield out to fight against miscreants in Wonder Woman 2017 movie.
However, if you’d noticed, it was nowhere to be seen in the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer that dropped recently.
So where did it go? Did Wonder Woman ditch the sword and shield? Well, that’s that.

While spilling the beans in a recent press conference, Gal Gadot confirmed that this time, the team decided to kick some asses without a sword. And she has a decent reason behind it.
“Wonder Woman does not carry a weapon. We had an intention to let go of the sword, because there’s something very aggressive with a sword,” she said.
Quoting Wonder Woman for the Goddess and the fighter she is, the team wanted her to ditch the sword and go weaponless.
“If you have a sword, it means you need to use it. So we wanted to give that up. And we didn’t feel that the shield was necessary either, she explained adding that Wonder Woman “is a goddess, she can fight, she’s super strong, and she has the skills.”

Wonder Woman 1984 will release on June 5, 2020. A sequel to the 2017 superhero film ‘Wonder Woman’, the trailer of the movie shows that it’s everything that we could ask from the film.
