Sanitizing things would be the norm until we get the vaccine for the deadly COVID-19. This not only includes your hands, feet, and clothes but all your belongings. Well, it’s obvious that you can’t wash off your electronic devices like laptops and mobile phones. So, how to sanitize them?
The Defense Research Development Organisation (DRDO) has got an answer to that. Research Centre Imarat (RCI) a premier laboratory of DRDO has developed an effective device. RCI has developed Defence Research Ultraviolet Sanitiser aka DRUVS.
The DRUVS Cabinet can sanitize your mobile phones, iPads, laptops, currency notes, cheque leafs, challans, passbooks, paper, etc. The cabinet has a contactless operation which adds to its efficacy in containing the spread of the virus. To ensure this the device has proximity sensor switches clubbed with drawer opening and closing mechanism making it automatic. The device provides 360-degree exposure of UVC to the objects ensuring 100% sanitization.

RCI has also developed NOTESCLEAN a currency sanitizing device earlier. However, DRUVS is a more comprehensive and multi-purpose version of that device.
