As the cases of people affected due to COVID-19 have soared within the country closing in on 150 a large number is their outside. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Wednesday put the official numbers in that regard.
As per the data of MEA, a total of 276 Indians have tested positive for coronavirus overseas to date. Amongst this 276 majority of 255 are in Iran. These 276 infected Indians are spread across 7 countries. Apart from Iran, the other countries are the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, Rwanda, and Hong Kong.

The data was tabled in Loksabha by Minister of State for External affairs V. Muraleedharan in response to a question. This comes after India has evacuated citizens from Italy and China. At the time of writing this India has reported 147 cases with 14 recovered and 3 deaths.
