Aadhaar Card Holders Soon You Can Make Corrections Sitting At Home

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has a surprise for all the aadhaar card holders of the country. The unique identification id producer is now going to launch doorstep services in the near future. Which simply means, that aadhaar card holders will not be required to visit seva kendras or post offices anymore after the service launch. The door to door aadhaar update services will be powered by the Post Offices, so you are soon going to meet the postmen who will not only be carrying your letters but will also bring aadhaar update service to your home. As per the reports UIDAI is taking all the necessary steps to make doorstep services active as soon as possible.

Aadhaar Card Services At Doorstep

UIDAI Providing Training To Serve Aadhaar Card Holders

Currently, 48,000 postmen of India Post Payment Bank are being trained by The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for providing door step services, as per Economic Times report. The first phase of their training will involve visiting the remotest parts of the country. Their next training phase involves to make them learn how to provide all the aadhaar card related doorstep services like “linking your mobile number with Aadhaar, update other details, and enrol children for issuance of their 12-digit ID.”

As per ET report, total 1.5 lakh postal officers will be trained under the second phase of training. Well, the aim is to reach out to the remotest parts of the country and enrol as many left out citizens as we can into the aadhaar program. This process is part of UIDAI’s expansion programme, as per the official.

How UIDAI Tech Will Help Unique ID Holders Sitting At Home?

As per the officials, UIDAI will provide necessary tech gears which will be laptop and desktop based aadhaar kits, so that the service executives can update aadhaar details of the holders, and enrol children to issue their aadhaars. Thus, all the arrangements are being made to roll out door to door aadhaar services smoothly with planning.
An official knowing about the development of this matter said to Economic Times, “So far, we have run pilots on IPPB postmen using tablet and mobile-based kit for child enrolment, We will now expand that to enable them to also update Aadhaar details in remote areas using laptop or a desktop.”

Further added, “We currently have 88 UIDAI Sewa Kendra in 72 cities. The plan is to reach even the remotest corners. We will also approach state governments to provide space in government premises where these sewa kendras can be opened.”
