Anand Mahindra has stated the Chenab bridge as an ‘extraordinary achievement’. A few days back images of Chenab Bridge were released by the Union Minister that went viral. The photos of the bridge just captured the attention of every individual who sees it. Now one more wooer is added to the list who is a famous industrialist Anand Mahindra. He shared the picture of the Chenab bridge which was originally posted by an IIS. Anand Mahindra named the bridge as an ‘extraordinary achievement’.
The image was so stunning that Mr Mahindra added and asked “The scene for the next James Bond movie opening?” And really, the image was eye-catching and has attracted many famous names onwards it. The image shows us the thrilling mountains and high curved arch of the bridge“.
The original tweet was posted by Mr Ankur Lahoty, he was also admiring the photo of the bridge and wrote “ This is not just the world’s highest railway bridge but also a reflection of India’s scientific prowess. Standing at 359m above river bed level, it is 35 meters higher than the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris”.

To connect with the Kashmir valley the Chenab Bridge is constructed that is 1315m long. It is even 35m taller than the Eiffel tower. Built over the Chenab river, the construction cost of this bridge is Rs.1486 crore. It is said to be the biggest civil-engineering project of Indian railways. The structural details of the bridge are done by the Tekla software. The bridge can withstand the speed of 266km/hr and can also face the impact of blast waves. Its total length is 1.3km and its total weight is 10619 MT. the bridge is supported by 96 strong cables. The capabilities of this bridge make it so thrilling. It will be open soon but with some speed restrictions.
