Andhra Pradesh Class 12 Board Exams Cancelled After Supreme Court’s Advice

On Thursday, Andhra Pradesh class 12 board exams were canceled for the year. Earlier, the state convinced the top court to conduct Board Class 12 exams in the state. However, Supreme Court had asked the state to submit the final logistics by Friday.

Additionally, the Supreme Court also has warned the state not to conduct the exam ahead of Delta plus Covid-19 variant during the third wave of Coronavirus.

In the earlier hearing, the SC has asked Andhra Pradesh to take decisions swiftly and not kept students waiting. Advocate Nazki said that the state only can conduct exams with 15/20 students per room.

Supreme Court posed numerous questions to AP

“Do you have enough rooms for students? How will you ensure ventilation in the rooms? In addition to students, there are teachers, support staff. The entire infrastructure has to be there. You don’t have anything finalized. From where are you going to arrange all that? Merely saying you want to hold exams is not enough. You have to ensure the safety and security of students and staff,” the court.
