Himanta Biswa Sarma sworn-in as Assam Chief Minister. He is the 15th chief minister of Assam and the second Bhartiya Janta Party CM of the northeastern state.
On Monday, Bhartiya Janta Party leader Himanta Biswa Sarma was sworn in as the new chief minister of Assam. Just after a day, he also elected “unanimously” as the BJP’s legislature leader in the state. Himanta Biswa Sarma administered the oath of office by Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi in Guwahati as the 15th chief minister of the northeastern state.

The office oath was also administered to 13 newly-elected MLAs of the BJP and its alliance partners, the United People Party Liberal (UPPL) and the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP).
