Badrinath Temple Reopens, First Puja Done On Behalf Of PM Modi, No Devotees Allowed

One among the Char Dhams, while you take on the Char Dham yatra in Uttarakhand, the gates of the Badrinath Temple were opened on Friday. However, only a limited number of people were allowed during the ceremony including the priests and Devasthanam Board officials.

The gates were opened at 4:30 AM on Friday by the head priest. As of now, no devotees are allowed in the temple.

Like at Kedarnath Temple, the first puja at the Badrinath Temple was also performed on the behalf of PM Modi for the welfare of mankind.

The temple tucked at a scenic location with mountains in the backdrop was decorated with 10 quintals of flowers and light for the opening ceremony.

Badrinath temple is the last destination for anyone who takes on the Char Dham yatra in Uttarakhand. The temple is situated on the left bank of the Alakananda River and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is also the place where Adi Shankaracharya attained salvation.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister congratulated people for the reopening of the temple and said that coronavirus will soon be defeated and Char Dham yatra will commence soon.
