Amid boredom in times of coronavirus, people have sought to funny ways to pass their time. And this Instagram scam, started by Instagrammers themselves, is one of those.
If you have been using Instagram lately, you must have had bumped into people and profiles with unique, odd, funny and rather creative usernames. While if wondering what is that all about, then let me tell you, it’s a Name Change Prank that has hooked netizens.
The idea is to prompt someone to change their name on Instagram. And those who fell for the prank are not aware that once an Instagram name is changed, you can’t change it for the next two weeks.
So if you get your friends to change the name to something weird, the embarrassment for 14 days will be on them. To what I have seen till now, several users are now stuck with user names such as Lasagne, Chicken Biryani, valentine mirchi, and ever tatti meri pyari tatti.
How about you all fix this dumb name change prank by letting us change our name more than twice every 14 days because mine now says “nut sack” and it will stay like that for 2 weeks. I have professional relationships on Instagram.

One of the prank messages that is being circulated states, “Hey! I’m making a video and I want you to be in it. Please set your name (name, not user name) on Insta as your favourite dish in lower caps for example ‘pani puri’ then change it to ‘PANI PURI’ in upper caps and take screenshot and send it to me. Send a screenshot of both upper case and lower case. I am not going to post it or something so don’t worry. It’s going to be damn hilarious so please do it.”
