India’s most favoured mobile game, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has suddenly been pulled off from Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. As of now if you search for BGMI then both the app stores will show other games in the result.
BGMI Pulled Off From App Stores Suddenly
BGMI mobile game was introduced to Indian gamers when the Central Government Banned PUBG over security and privacy concerns. PUBG’s popularity among Indians was off the charts, not only teens loved the game but adults also found it entertaining.
Of course till now there are multiple rumours spreading on social media platforms about BGMI getting banned by the Central Government. However, there is no update from Krafton, a South Korea based game developers, and from Google about the game being banned.
Why BGMI Gets Banned In India?
As of now there is no official reason for BGMI getting officially banned in India. We can only assume things, but one thing is sure that this game has affects some kids and teens negatively. For instance, a recent incident was reported that a 16 year old boy shot his mother and killed her over an argument related to PUBG. The case is being investigated.
Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar has also tweeted regarding BGMI being pulled off from app stores. “BGMI has been pulled from the Play Store because of a government order – a person familiar with the matter”, his tweet says.

Statements Made By Google And Krafton on BGMI Ban In India
Google said, “On receipt of the order, following established process, we have notified the affected developer and have blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India.”
On other hand Krafton said, “we are clarifying how BGMI was removed from Google Play and will let you know once we get specific information.”
