The Indian Railways has introduced Bharat Gaurav Tourish Train which, upon boarding, displays a beautiful interior. As part of the “North East Discovery: Beyond Guwahati” concept, the unusual train is intended to transport passengers around the northeastern states.
The Indian Railways also posted a video on Twitter that showcases the train’s interiors. The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will also include many valuable things for travelers traveling by train. The train will feature two fine dining restaurants, a modern kitchen, shower cubicles, sensor-based washroom functions, a foot massager, and a library. The train is also maintained with high-security features such as CCTV cameras and security guards at each coach.
The train interiors are of white and beige colors and each of its compartments has two berths and big chairs and tables where the travelers can have their meals easily. The library on the train will include books about culture, art, and travel so that travelers can enjoy their journey without getting bored.
Meenakshi Lekhi, The Minister For State For External Affairs and Culture gave the green flag to The Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist train at Delhi’s Safdarjung station. The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will take its travelers on 15 days journey through the northeastern cities which includes Guwahati, Sivasagar, Agartala, Udaipur, Jorhat, Kaziranga, Unakoti, Dimapur, Kohima, Cherapunji, and Shillong. The train will have First AC and Second AC compartments and will be able to carry up to 156 passengers at one time.
The packages are designed in view of the government scheme “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” concept which portrays the life of the Great Freedom Fighter Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. The Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist train will have its first stop at the Kevadiya where the Statue of Unity is situated. The train will cover a distance of 3500 Km and will be 8 days long journey.
The train will include a visit to the world’s tallest statue that is the statue of Unity and which will be followed by the UNESCO world heritage site – Champaner archaeological park, Adhlej Step Well, Akshardham Temple at Ahmedabad, Sabarmati Ashram, Modhera Sun Temple and the Rani ki Vao. It will also include a visit to Somnath Jyotirlinga, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Dwarkadheesh Temple, and Beyt Dwarka. This will include staying for two nights in the hotel each at Kevadiya and Ahmedabad.
The government of India’s program “Dekho Apna Desh” to boost domestic tourism is in line with the opening of the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. The IRCTC tourist train will be an 8-day all-inclusive tour package with prices starting at Rs. 52250 per person for AC 2 Tier, Rs. 67140 per person for AC 1 (Cabin), and Rs. 77400 per person for AC 1 (Coupe).
The price will include train travel in the appropriate class, overnight stays in AC hotels, all meals (VEG only), all transfers and sightseeing in buses, travel insurance, and guide services, among other things. IRCTC will take all required health precautions, and it will work hard to give visitors a secure and enjoyable experience.
