CBSE Class 10 & 12 Registration 2025-26: Final Deadline for Admissions and Subject Changes
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially set the last date for direct admissions and subject change requests for Classes 10 and 12 for the academic year 2025-26. Students must complete all formalities by 31st August 2025, after which no further changes will be permitted.
Key Dates to Remember
- 31st August 2025 – Final date for students to submit requests for direct admissions and subject modifications.
- 2nd September 2025 – Last date for schools to compile and forward student records to respective CBSE Regional Offices.
- 15th September 2025 – Deadline for CBSE Regional Offices to review and approve the submitted records.
However, there is a special exception for students whose parents are transferred under government service rules. In such cases, applications will still be accepted after 31st August, provided parents meet the Regional Officer within two days of admission through the Harkara system and present all required documents.
Important Instructions for Students and Schools
CBSE has urged students, parents, school authorities, and teachers to complete the entire process within the prescribed timeframe. Adhering to the schedule will help avoid last-minute complications, ensure fair subject allocation, and streamline exam registration. Schools will also be able to organize teaching plans and manage resources more effectively.
Students must carefully check all details and submit the necessary documents before the deadline expires. It is also advised to regularly visit the official CBSE website for any updates or notifications regarding the registration process.
