The strain and pressure on students taking the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board exams will be greatly reduced because of the revised Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) and revised test format. The educational format is about to change, and preparations have already begun.
The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, has made significant adjustments to the test design and marking method for the Class 10, and 12 Board tests, which would relieve applicants of additional stress.
The CBSE Board Exam 2024 will commence on February 15. The sample papers for Class 10 and 12 have already been made available on the board’s official website, www.cbse.gov.in.
Students will be able to better comprehend the new test design and marking scheme after reviewing the sample papers. The quantity of competency-based questions in the CBSE board exam 2024 will be raised.
Class 10 Exam Pattern
- There will be 50% competency or case-based questions in Class 10
- 20% will be response-type questions
- 20% will be multiple-choice questions
- 30% will be constructed response questions (short answer/long answer type questions).
Class 12 Exam Pattern
- 40% of the questions in Class 12 will be competence or case-based
- 20% will be response type
- 20% MCQ questions
- 40% constructed response questions (short answer/long answer type questions).
The quantity of ability-based questions will be enhanced for the 2024 board test. Ability-based questions will make up 50% of class 10 questions and 40% of class 12 questions. Candidates will have three hours to compose responses to 15 to 35 questions.
