All you teaching job aspirants must get ready for the first cycle of the CTET (Central Teaching Eligibility Test). CTET July 2020’s applications are live now. As usual, the exam would be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

CTET Important Dates
As an aspirant, the first thing that you must take note of is the important dates related to the exam cycle. To make that easy for you we have tabled this details below:

CTET Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for the CTET exam varies for Paper 1 (Primary Stage, Class I to V) and Paper 2 (Secondary Stage Class VI to VIII) applicants. The details about eligibility criteria for both the papers are listed below:
For Paper 1 (Primary Stage, Class I to V)
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms OR
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Graduation with 50% Marks and 1 Year B.Ed Examination OR
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
For Paper 2 (Upper Primary Stage, Class VI to VIII)
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Bachelor Degree and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE Norms OR
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
- Candidate Must-Have Passed Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education)

CTET Application Fee
Application fee varies based on whether an aspirant applies for only Paper 1 or Paper or he/she is applying for both the papers. The details about these are listed tabled below:

CTET Application Process
The step by step process for making application for CTET July 2020 is listed below:
- Visit the official website of CBSE
- Fill in the Registration form and click submit
- Password and Login ID would be generated
- Use the details generated during the registration process for login
- Fill in the detailed application form and upload signature and photograph
- Preview the filled form
- Correct mistakes (if any)
- Pay the Application Fee (if applicable) and click on Submit
- Download the application form and save it for future references
