Delhi Government School Admissions: Second Round for Classes 10 and 12
Did you miss the March deadline for Delhi government school admissions? Don’t worry! The Directorate of Education in Delhi is giving students another chance. The second round of admissions for Classes 10 and 12 is starting soon. Here’s everything you need to know, explained in simple words.
Who Can Apply?
- Only for Delhi Residents:
Only students who live in Delhi are allowed to apply in this round. - Missed the First Round:
This admission cycle is specially for those who could not apply in the first round held in March. - For Class 12 Admissions:
- You must have passed Class 11 in the 2024-25 session.
- You should have the required marks in the subjects needed for your chosen stream.
- Your Class 10 marks must also meet the cut-off for your stream.
- You must have passed Class 11 in the 2024-25 session.
- Relaxation in Marks:
If you belong to any of these groups, you get a 5% relaxation in marks:
- SC (Scheduled Caste)
- ST (Scheduled Tribe)
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
- Minority communities
- Kashmiri migrants
- National-level sportspersons
- Specially-abled students
- SC (Scheduled Caste)
Important Dates to Remember
- Application Forms Available: July 9
You can start collecting and filling out forms from this date. - Last Date to Apply: July 23
Make sure to submit your form before this date. - Admit Card Distribution: July 30
Collect your admit card from the school where you applied. - Common Admission Test (CAT): August 2
The test will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. - Result Announcement: August 6
Check the results at your chosen school. - Final Admission Deadline: August 30
Complete all admission formalities by this date.
How to Apply
- Get the Form: Visit the Delhi government school where you want to take admission. Collect the application form from there.
- Fill and Submit: Fill out the form carefully with all the correct details. Submit it at the same school.
- Admit Card: After submitting your form, collect your admit card from the school on July 30.
- Common Admission Test: Appear for the CAT on August 2. This test helps the school decide on admissions.

- No Online Applications: You need to go to the school in person to get and submit the form.
- Prepare for the Test: The CAT is important for your admission, so make sure to prepare well.

- Special Schools Not Included: Admissions to special schools like RPVVs and Schools of Excellence are not part of this round.
