When an employee changes or transfers his or her PF account from an “exempted” to “unexempted establishment”, the type of establishments on which the Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952 is functional, or vice-versa, a document is issued to them from EPFO which is called Annexure K.

EPF Account Transfer Through Annexure K

Annexure K is basically a collection of records belonging to the particular employee who is transferring his or her PF account carrying information such as PF contributions, service history, joining and leaving dates, and many more job-related records.

EPFO defines Annexure K with a tweet saying, “Annexure K is an EPF document which mentions the member details, his PF accumulations with interest, service history, Date of joining, and Date of exit and employment details including past and presents MID. This document is required by the Field Office/Trust to effect a transfer in.”

Those who want to transfer their PF account can download it through the Unified Member Portal.
