A host of products ranging from soaps, toothpaste, room fresheners, incense sticks, eye drops, etc. made from cow urine and cow dung are being sold at the ongoing Magh Mela in Prayagraj.
Among all the products, the best-sellers included medicines for indigestion, arthritis, cataract, diabetes and lung infection. As per a report by News18, the products have been produced at a gaushala in Bithoor, Kanpur.

Some of the products displayed at the mela were also a part of 2013 and 2019 Kumbh Melas. However, other products “are being displayed for the first time,” Abhishek Bajpai, manager of the VHP-run cow shelter, told News18.
“Our products range from organic fertilisers and home cleaners to eye drops and painkillers. People who believe in the medicinal properties of cow urine and dung are visiting our stall in large numbers. The products are already available at all the RSS/VHP camps across the country. We are also in the process of registering with online shopping sites,” he said.

Bajpai quoting about the benefits of cow dung eye drop said that the product can improve eyesight. Apart from cow urine, dung is also used for making soaps, face packs and incense sticks,” he said.
