We are talking about a 20 years old girl from Uttar Pradesh named Goldi. Goldi was all set to marry her fiance Veerendra Kumar but just then the lockdown happened.
The groom’s family put a proposal to marry during the lockdown but Goldi’s parents refused both the time. The couple meanwhile was constantly in touch with each other talking about the ease of transportation amidst lockdown so, that the marriage can happen.
However, when Goldi came to know that this marriage may not happen and his father has been looking at a groom wealthier than Veerendra she couldn’t take this. The girl from Laxmanpur Tilak village in Kanpur decided to on foot all the way to Veerendra’s house Baisapur in Kannauj.
As she reached her fiance’s village his family arranged a low key wedding in an old temple, while adhering to the social distancing norms. The couple also wore masks during the ceremony. While people are using online modes of marriage this simple and not that much tech-savvy girl took on herself to get things done. Probably she showed whats the importance of love in a relationship.
