On Tuesday, Hamas launched rockets at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and Israel commit to keeping hit the Islamist faction in Gaza. However, no immediate word of casualties reported from the pre-dawn salvo. It set off sirens as far as northern Nahalal, which is 100 km from Gaza, sending thousands of Israelis to shelters.
As per the enclave’s health ministry, 67 people are killed in Gaza since violence took place, on Monday. Medical officials said that seven people have been killed in Israel.
On Wednesday, Biden said after speaking to Netanyahu that “My expectation and hope is this will closing down sooner than later, but Israel has a right to defend itself.“
Biden refused to explain the reasons behind his optimism. Netanyahu’s office said he told the U.S. president that Israel would “continue acting to strike at the military capabilities of Hamas and the other terrorist groups active in the Gaza Strip“.
On Wednesday, forces of Israel bombed several buildings and killed a senior Hamas commander, which includes high-rises and a bank.
Gaza’s health ministry told that 17 people killed in the enclave are children and six are women. On Thursday, the Israeli military said that some 350 of 1,500 rockets fired by Gaza factions had fallen short.
