Late but finally in the party, following his marvelous inning against Rajasthan Royals,…
….Hardik Pandya got on his knee in support of #blacklivesmatter campaign on Sunday. He was the first player to do so and obviously the same caught some eyeballs.
Interestingly, when Hardik made the gesture, Mumbai’s stand-in skipper Kieron Pollard in response raised his fist too.
Also, another set of reactions came from social media where one section of people lauded Pandya’s gesture against the anti-racist movement while some suggested him to first focus on atrocities within the country before supporting the world outside. Because as they say, Charity begins at home.
Twitterati were quick to point out the duality of his solidarity act.
Indians like to be cool but they are conditioned to be smart.

Cool by sporting a black band and supporting black lives matter
Smart by keeping their mouth shut on caste and bigotry
Smart enough to know when to be cool and when to mind ones own business.
hehe✨ stop embarrassing yourself and start talking about the suppression minorities in your own country face even if doesn't support your cause ✨
