The cash-rich cricket league’s high on budget auction concluded in the city of joy yesterday. The IPL Auction 2020 saw a fierce bidding war between the 8 franchisees who were there two fill the gaps in their squads.

While Pat Cummins created a history by becoming the highest ever overseas and second-highest overall (after Yuvraj Singh) purchase at whopping 15.50 Crores, his fellow Aussies too had reasons to smile. 4 Aussie players made it to the list of top 10 buys in yesterday’s action.

Now, since the shopping is done and the wait for the league to start has begun here’s how the 8 squads look.

The Capitals came in with a purse of over 27 crores and with 8 purchases in the auction they manage to get a squad of 22 sorted out. West Indian Shimron Hetmyer and Aussie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis were their big purchase.

The two time champions KKR came into the auction with a fairly big purse of 36.65 crores. They made it count with the biggest purchase of the auction Pat Cummins. Apart from Cummins, the KKR bought 8 more players including the English captain Eoin Morgan.
