Apart from “pehli mohabbat,” Indians have a tendency to forget every other thing. And so did they when travelling in Uber.
The ride-hailing company has shared a list of things that people have forgotten in the cab in 2019 and frankly, you will be surprised to know about the things that people take with themselves on an Uber.
Uber in its ‘Lost and Found Index 2020’, has revealed that mobile phones remain the most forgotten items followed by cameras and handbags. Wallets, keys, clothing, umbrella, water bottle and headphones together make the top 10 things misplaced by passengers on an Uber.
Mumbai topped the list of the most forgetful city followed by Kolkata and Prayagraj. Bengaluru, improving its stats, was placed in the fifth position ending it’s three years list-toping sphere.
“Bengaluru, the three times most forgetful city in India, dropped to the 5th spot in Uber’s lost and found Index 2020,” Uber said in the media release. Delhi stood fourth in the ranking.
Last year, 3 August, followed by 6 July, and 31 August were the most forgetful days for Indian riders. The time between 1 pm to 3 pm was the time when most people lost their belongings.

The 2018 memoir of Michelle Obama, “Becoming” was among the most unique items that were left behind in Uber in India in 2019. Apart from phones, other items that passengers forgot on the Uber were grandpa’s artificial teeth, Dettol bottle, mangoes, exam notes, teddy bear, facial make-up kit, blanket/pillow, rose, children’s tricycle, broom and even a kitchen tawa.
