Adding fuel to the horrifying incident of 68 girls being forced to remove undergarments the preacher of the trust running college has given remarks. Swami Krushnaswarup Dasji of Swaminarayan Bhuj Mandir that runs the Shri Sahjanand Girls’ Institute (SSGI) in Bhuj has given the statement.
He said, “If you eat food prepared by a menstruating woman even once, then your next avatar will definitely be that of a ‘balad’ (ox). A menstruating woman who cooks food for her husband will certainly be reborn as a ‘kutri’ (bitch)”.

Dasji gave the remarks while preaching at a Bhuj Ratri sabha. “You can feel whatever you want but these rules have been outlined in the ‘Shastras’ (spiritual texts)”, he added. The preacher didn’t stop at this. He further said that “Now that I have said this, everyone will feel that I am strict. And they {women} will cry that we will turn into dogs. So, yes, you will have to {become dogs}”.
The video of his preaching is going viral. Dasji is attracting serious criticism for his remarks. The college is already under scrutiny for forcing 68 girls to remove undergarments to prove that they are not menstruating. The main reason behind the act was sect’s norms, which say menstruating females are barred from entering the temple and kitchen.

As per a 19-year-old student of the college girls are required to report ‘Periods’. During periods girls are shifted to the basement for 3 days away from the hostel and other girls she said.
