Eye-witnessing Jammu and Kashmir and its beauty has always been on my bucket list for obvious reasons. And to make planning an itinerary to the beautiful J&K easier, IRCTC has introduced a pocket-friendly nine days tour package.
Itinerary
The trip will begin with IRCTC picking you up from Jammu airport and drive you to Katra. The travellers can explore Katra for the day. After a night stay at a hotel in Katra, the tourists will be taken to Banganga for darshan of Vaishno Devi Temple.
On the third day, tourists will leave for Srinagar and are free to explore the beauty Srinagar for the rest of the day. On the fourth day, the tourists will head to Mughal Gardens followed by Cheshmashahi, Parimahal, Botanical Garden, Shalimar Gardens, Zararwan Hills by road transport. Shankracharya Temple.

On the fifth day, tourists will be exposed to the beauty of the hill stations of Gulmarg. When in Gulmarg, you can go on treks through the alluring beauty of snowballed Kashmir valley.
On the sixth day, tourists will head to Sonmarg in Jammu and Kashmir, a beautiful place named after golden-hued flowers that grow there. The place is home to several snow-capped peaks lakes and glaciers that you will get to explore.
The Sonmarg to Pahalgam trip will begin on the seventh day. Pahalgam is located at an altitude of 2,130 m above sea level offering picturesque Himalayan ranges in the vicinity. Positioned beside the Liddar River, the place is famous for a host of activities including horse riding, skiing, fishing and more.

Further on the eight-day tourists will head back to Jammu and after Jammu’s sightseeing on the ninth day, tourists will be dropped at Jammu Airport to board the flight in the afternoon.
Total Fair
The total package for a single person costs Rs. 22,135, Rs. 20,305 for two people and Rs. 16,900 for three. Tourists will stay at a 3-star hotel along with complimentary breakfast and dinner. The dinner will be arranged by the tour managers.
