Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is an initiative by the Central government that aims to provide affordable housing facilities to the poor people across the country. The program intends the construction of 2.95 crore PMAY-G houses by 2024.
What is Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna?
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, also known as PMAY was launched on June 1, 2015, to provide a roof over the heads of urban and rural poor across the country. It has two components PMAY Urban and PMAY Rural. The total number of houses to be built was targeted at 2.62 crores, but only 1.73 crores among them have been built till February 21, 2022. How are the beneficiaries selected?
The beneficiaries for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna are chosen based on housing deprivation parameters in the SECC 2011 data. It has seven deprivation indicators. Steps to download the PMAY Gramin List 2022-2023
- Open the official website of the PMAY-G
- Find a tab named “Awaassoft”
- Tab it and click on the “Report” option
- The website will redirect you to a new page
- Visit H section “Social Audit Reports”
- Click the form “Beneficiary details for verification”
- Provide all the information such as state, panchayat, subdivision details, and year
- Fill in the captcha code and click on submit button
- The list will be opened.
The main aim of this program is to provide housing facilities to the needy without delay and ensure that the funds get deposited directly in the beneficiaries’ accounts.
