KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis are the star players that have been picked by Lucknow IPL Franchise. Ravi Bishnoi is the third player that is taken up by the Lucknow team.
KL Rahul will lead Indian Cricket Team in the ODI Series in South Africa.
Lucknow IPL franchise will go into the auction in February with a budget of Rs 60 crore. KL Rahul will cost Rs 15 crore alone. Marcus Stoinis will cost Rs 11 crore and Ravi Bishnoi will cost Rs 4 crore. It is speculated that KL Rahul will be the team captain in the coming season of IPL.
Rahul is one of the most consistent batsmen in IPL and earlier he was part of Kings XI Punjab, of which he was also the captain for two seasons. Rahul told the management of the team that he wants a change and therefore was released from the team.

KL Rahul played his first season of IPL in 2013 under Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 2014, he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and went back to RCB in 2016. In 2018 auction, Kings XI Punjab bought him for Rs 11 crore. Rahul has played for four seasons in the team and is now ready to make a change.
Marcus Stoinis started playing IPL in 2015 with Delhi Daredevils. Lucknow will be his fourth IPL franchise. He has been a good performer on the ground.
Ravi Bishnoi impressed cricket fans with his performance in 2020 Under-19 World Cup held in South Africa. He has been playing IPL since then under Kings XI Punjab.
Ahmedabad is the other new IPL franchise and the three players of choice are Shubham Gill, Rashid Khan and Hardik Pandya.
The IPL auction for this season will be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. The venue of the auction has not been announced by BCCI yet.
