Former Indian wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel says that the 5 times IPL champions Mumbai Indians have the quad that can do best on any ground and any surface. He also said that not playing at Wankhede won’t be much of an issue for them.
The format of IPL 2021 is such that no team will play matches on their home ground. In other words, no team will have a “home advantage” this IPL. However, MI will start their campaign in Chennai against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Parthiv Patel believes that the Mumbai Indian paltan is quite settled and they do not need to tinker a lot with their playing XI.

Parthiv Patel told Star Sports, “I don’t think Mumbai Indians will be thinking of where they are playing next. All the teams would be thinking about where they are playing first and you know, try and get their best team forward, try and get their best XI on the path. If they are playing in Chennai, you might expect some spinner but from the Mumbai Indians’ point of view, I don’t think they have to tinker a lot with their playing XI.”
The 5-time champions were on the best side of the IPL 2020 and topped the group during the play-offs. In the final, Mumbai Indians have easily beaten the good looking Delhi Capitals and lift the IPL title for the fifth time.
Hardik To Bowl His 4-overs Quota
The Mumbai team focuses on their skipper Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard. Parthiv Patel also said that it looks like Hardik Pandya will bowl four overs quota in the IPL. And, it will be more advantageous to a well-settled bowling attack.

In the T20Is against England, we have seen him bowling. He has bowled almost 4 overs. He has a slower one, change in pace, slower bouncer, quick bouncer, etc. Additionally, Pollard bowls his slower one very well which can be useful on a Chennai wicket.
