NCERT Partners with Canva to Upskill Teachers with New Certification
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has teamed up with Canva to launch an exciting new training and certification program for teachers across India. This initiative is designed to boost digital skills and creativity in classrooms, making learning more engaging for both teachers and students.
Through this partnership, teachers will have free access to Canva’s education platform, packed with resources for creating visually appealing lesson plans, infographics, and presentations. NCERT ensures that all training content fits perfectly with the national curriculum and is tailored for different regions and languages. The courses are self-paced, free of cost, and available on DIKSHA, the Ministry of Education’s digital platform. To reach even more educators, training videos will also be shown on PM eVidya DTH TV Channels.
This program supports the goals of the National Education Policy by focusing on skills like design thinking, digital fluency, and collaborative learning. Teachers will learn to use digital tools that make classroom content more interactive and fun, helping students understand complex topics with ease.
Canva’s platform offers a wide range of teaching resources, including translation tools and interactive games, all designed to make lessons more dynamic. The platform also features smart tools that help teachers create materials quickly, saving time while keeping students interested.
After completing the courses, teachers will receive a joint certificate from NCERT and Canva, recognizing their new digital skills and commitment to modern teaching methods. To get started, educators can simply visit the DIKSHA platform and enroll in the courses.
This initiative marks a big step forward in bringing creativity and technology together in Indian classrooms, empowering teachers to inspire the next generation of learners.
