New ₹20 Notes Are Coming: All You Need to Know
The Reserve Bank of India is getting ready to release new ₹20 notes. If you use cash often, you’ll want to know about this. These new notes will look just like the ones you already have in your pocket, but there’s one small change: the signature on the note.
What’s New About the ₹20 Note?
- The new notes will have the signature of the current RBI Governor.
- Everything else-design, color, size, and security features-will stay the same.
- The notes will still belong to the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series.
- The beautiful Ellora Caves will remain on the back of the note, celebrating India’s rich heritage.
Why the Change?
Every time a new governor takes charge at the Reserve Bank, new notes are printed with their signature. This is a routine process and doesn’t affect the value or use of your old notes.
