Ola Electric has rapidly elevated its market share in selling electric scooters with the help of India being one of the largest 2w markets across the globe. The demand for Ola e-Sctoers is just unending. And Ola just does not want their growth wave among their users to rest, as the company has decided to launch a new e-scooter under the range of ₹80k on October 22.
Ola Launching New E-Scooter Model Under ₹80K
Ola had given all its premium features with the launch of S1, on August 15th, at ₹99,999. But now the company has detected a layer of competition in their field and has fixed the rates of its new upcoming e-scooter at ₹80,000.
The announcement was made by Ceo, Bhavish Aggarwal, on the social media platform, Twitter. He wrote, “Planned something BIG for our launch event this month!”
He further wrote “Will accelerate the #EndICEAge revolution by at least 2 years”, along with the launch date of October 22, 2022.
“Ola is aiming to launch one of the most affordable premia electric scooters in the country. And the pricing for that electric scooter is likely to fall below Rs 80K. Aggarwal didn’t impart further details pertaining to this new “BIG” launch. Whatever it is, will take electric scooter sales further.”
What To Expect With The Latest Launch?
It is very obvious that if the company has reduced the price they will also reduce the features in comparison to S1. And even S1 also consists of a lower range of features than the S1 Pro.
This new discounted price model is a response to the competitors from Ola including the current top performer Hero electric, others like- Ather, Simple, Okinawa, TVS, Chetak and the upcoming ones like- Hero Vida and Honda electric scooters.
“Ola S1 deliveries started from September 7th across the country. It packs a 3 kWh battery pack worth of juice. This is smaller than the S1 Pro’s battery pack which has 4 kWh worth of juice in it. Even with a smaller battery Ola S1 promises 141 km of range from a single charge. The motor is the same as the S1 Pro and is pretty much up there with other premium electric scooters”, mentioned Rushlane.

“Ola sub Rs 80K electric scooters may get similar specifications as S1 or slightly lower, owing to its lower price tag. Ola will divulge further details at their event this month. But, speculations revolving around the product suggest similar specs as Ola S1, with fewer features along with it due to the lower price tag of Rs 80K”, further reads.
