As India sleeves up to fight against the menace that coronavirus has turned out to be, people from all corners of the country, and the government itself, are doing everything they can to help the country in the harsh times.
A few instances to recall world be Hima Das donating her one month salary to the Assam government. Sachin Tendulkar donating Rs 25 lakhs to each PM and CM’s relief funds. Nirmala Sitharaman annoucing an economic relief package worth Rs 1.7 lakh crore to help the poor tide over financial distress and many more.
Amid this, as per a report by PTI, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is also one of the world’s richest cricketers, made a contribution of Rs. 1 Lakh to the relief fund to fight the pandemic. The donation was made through a Pune based NGO PTI added.
And while even a donation of the tiniest of amount is laudable, Dhoni, with a net worth somewhere around $170 million, donating just Rs 1 lakh didn’t sit well with the netizens.

They came out to troll Dhoni with eveything they could. One of the users also shared a tweet of a 12th class student who had donated Rs 2.5 lakh to the PM’s coronavirus relief fund.
However, some also came out in support of Dhoni and claimed that the donation was only made to an NGO and not to the PM’s relief fund.
Dhoni donated that Rs 1 lakh to an NGO.
